Houraye M. ANNE (she/her/hers) is an education economist and political scientist. With almost 20 years of experience for various organizations such as pan-African institutions, UN agencies, international development NGO and the private sector have made her a seasoned education, gender and development specialist and a and committed advocate. The technical assistance she provided throughout her career at continental and national levels contributed to strengthen African policymakers’ ability to analyze, develop and put in place strategic policy frameworks and cost-effective policies and programs to meet their global, continental and national commitments.
Houraye M. ANNE is currently with the Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE), working towards gender equality in and through education and promoting girls’ education in Africa and as well towards women empowerment among other through high-level policy dialog to advise on strategic policy choices; sector development; policy and planning, sector analysis, networking and advocacy, analytical work and exploratory research as well as capacity building. She is the Head of FAWE Dakar based Regional Office that is responsible for 14 FAWE national chapters and is member of the G7 GCI Executive Committee.
