The G7 Summit under the German Presidency is fast approaching, and feminist civil society from all over the world is making its voice heard. We say: it is time to deliver!
Over the past months, 64 representatives from all over the world, the W7 Advisors, have gathered to formulate policy demands to G7 leaders. They also agreed upon a joint declaration, the W7 Communiqué. At the W7 Summit, it is now time to personally hand over the results of the W7 Dialogue to the German Chancellor and G7 President, Olaf Scholz who will attend the Summit in person to receive the recently adopted W7 recommendations.
We are also excited to announce the participation of Gender Equality Minister Lisa Paus, State Secretary and Special Envoy for International Climate Action Jennifer Lee Morgan, and Minister of State for Europe and Climate Anna Lührmann.
We will be discussing the key demands of the W7 global network in various panel discussions and sessions with, among others, this year’s Gender Equality Advisory Council President Prof. Jutta Allmendinger, Head of the Gender and Safeguards Unit at UNEP Dr. Janet Kabeberi-Macharia, and founder of the International Civil Society Action Network Sanam Naraghi-Anderlini.
You can find the W7 Communiqué with our recommendations and demands here.
The hybrid event will be streamed in English and translated into German. Feel free to distribute this invitation within your networks.
