Kazuko Fukuda
Founder of #Nandenaino Project Co-chair of CIPATEC Deputy Representative of FIFTYS PROJECT

Ms. Kazuko is an ardent activist for sexual and reproductive health and rights in Japan as a founder of a grass-rooted SRHR advocacy movement called #Nandenaino project, which means “Why don’t we have?”, and also co-chair of the Citizens Initiative for Pharmaceutical Access To Emergency Contraception (CIPATEC). From 2022, she is deputy representative of FIFTYS PROJECT, a youth-led organization pursuing gender equality in Japanese politics. She has been selected as an SRHR young leader by SheDecides and Women Deliver. Also, she is one of the official translators of the revised version of “International Technical Guidance on Sexuality Education” (UNFPA et al., 2018) from English to Japanese. She holds a master’s degree of Public Health from University of Gothenburg in Sweden. Currently delivering Comprehensive Sexuality Education at the University of Tokyo (until January 2023).
