Lauren S Power is an award-winning researcher, author, speaker, and advocate for women, youth, and migrants. She is a Ph.D. Candidate in International Relations at the University of Tokyo with a focus on understanding the economic and social lives of migrants. Lauren is the Founder and Managing Director of Young Professionals in Foreign Policy (YPFP) Tokyo, a youth-led, youth-focused NGO that fosters international, inclusive, and intergenerational dialogue on pivotal issues for Japan and the world. Previously, Lauren has worked for and in partnership with the OECD, UN-MGCY, UN-ESCAP, and the G20 2020-2023; and she has been a contributing researcher to the Research Center for Sustainable Peace (RCSP), the Refugee Review, and the Journal for Human Security Studies.
