Maki Muraki
Founder and Director, Nijiiro Diversity

Maki Muraki (she/her) is one of the most renown lesbian activists in Japan. She has been working for LGBTQ+ community for over 28 years and founded a nonprofit organization, Nijiiro Diversity, in 2013 to promote workplace inclusion. She conducts nation-wide surveys on LGBTQ+ life and work and uses the data to educate society. In 2022, she founded the Pride Center Osaka, a place to support LGBTQ people’s recovery from the pandemic of COVID-19. Maki is also a labor and social security attorney, a board member of major wedding company and an author of “Nijiiro Change Maker”.
